Brief description

Objective

A qualitative socio-scientific study will provide comprehensive informaton about risk perception, risk awareness and behaviour of water consumers regarding anthropogenic trace organic contaminants and pathogenic organisms in the urban water cycle. In addition, possible influencing factors to these dimensions will be identified. The findings from this work package will be the basis for the risk management that will be developed in WP 6.

Key activities

• Identification of the dimension and the quality of the divergence between natural scientific related and subjective perceived risks
• Revealing of typical risk behaviour patterns of water consumers
• Investigation and evaluation of influencing factors to risk perception, risk awareness and risk behaviour as well as possibilities to influence these factors
